Kayson and I took a little trip to Alabama in May. My darling Granny Irene passed away from Pancreatic Cancer and it was a rough time for us but we were so lucky to be able to fly to be with the family and attend her service.
I am planning on a blogpost for her but I'm awaiting some great pictures of her before I do.
Here's a little of what I captured from Alabama. (Where I was born and raised the 1st 5 yrs of my life)
On the plane...he was SOOO good this time.

The next few pics are of where my grandmother and all of her family has lived over the years. They live in the country. THE REAL COUNTRY. With Indian woods behind them and NO cell phone service. I love this place. I remember being teeny visiting this land and all the fields my Great Grandpa spent his life plowing. The openness and silence of the country is sooo peaceful. I was smitten... You don't appreciate this kind of beauty until you're older.
Kayson fell about as hard in love as I did. A child with all this open range? He took off in the morning and I rarely saw him. He couldn't get enough of the open air! I would love to raise my children in this much freedom & simplicity.

We're heading back for our annual Florida trip next week. This time strictly for playing...I can't wait!
