Grateful for Payten

Payten has a personality I feel lucky to have experienced. I've always heard about little "angel babies" and super girly girl babies. She's all of them. She is SOOO prissy. Her Grandma Becky jokes that she'll be the one that will fuss over a broken fingernail. Boy is she right. Payten will whine like she's broken hearted if she watches you walk out of the nursery with one of her sisters instead of her. Payten squeals and makes the most girly high pitched noises...and she FAKES crying. I didn't think that an infant was capable of such sly wisdom but she's figured it out. I've also never seen a baby upset and happy at the same time. She will literally be crying and you can get her to smile at the same time. If that's not dramatic I don't know what is.

I am so grateful for the LOVE she brings to our home. The unconditional selfless, neverending love. She always smiles at you with this look of complete adoration. Anytime you pick her up in front of you she has to grab your face with her mouth in a giant smile and pull your face to hers. She wants to soak every bit of you up. She can't get enough. Anytime she's in reach she likes to rub your arms, hands, neck...and loves to play with your face. She is the SWEETEST baby. I have learned to love my family more deeply through her example. When you're around Payten you feel love. You feel like this family love is all you need to survive on. When she's sharing her love with you, you feel like you can forget everything because THIS is all that matters. Now that I've experienced how much love a family can make and mean to someone...I can't ever go back. I'm so grateful for her showing me how much this family's love means.
