Merry Christmas Day!

Christmas morning was more than amazing for our family this year. Seeing our little children light up is what makes Christmas the joy that it is every year. They make it so worth it and so real.

Santa was so good to us this year. So were a lot of wonderful family members! And more importantly, God was beyond good to our family this year. We have been blessed with so much. We have healthy beautiful children in our home, kindness and generosity have been sent our way more than we've ever experienced before. In our home we have strength, love and faith. We have the Gospel and the Savior in our lives and there for us when we need help to stay on the path...or just help to stay sane and strong. We are so grateful for the blessing He is in our lives and my heart swells when we get to teach our children about Him.

We opened Christmas presents & then watched a movie about the Birth of Jesus. We've talked so much about it and read so many scriptures about it this year that Kayson about has it memorized! We love the Savior's hand in our lives and in Christmas.

The Girls got lots of fun toys as you can see under their new saucer. Also got a Jumperoo, movies, some pit balls, lots of cute clothes and a Ball Popping Toy. One of my favorites was the set of skinny jeans Ms. Linda sent them from Florida!!

 Since we don't have cable tv, we're a movie family for sure. We ended up with a lot of movies this Christmas (thanks Amazon for cheap used movies!!)

 Kayson's lot. Among some of his favorites were the whole set of Disney Cars 2 cars, Transformers, the new Disc Nerf guns, remote control cars and all his sports equipment!

Erik loved his remote control helicopter his parents got all the guys and he was pretty excited about Modern Warfare 3 that he's been hoping for months to get!

I can't deny that I'm totally obsessed with my new KindleTouch. We're pretty much having an affair. It's bad.

But over all...our favorite gift was the very first gift we've been given that actually brought us to tears in front of the whole family. For me, it was almost sobbing...totally embarrassing. Erik's parents wrapped up a cute little poem they made up and we read it in front of the whole family as we unfolded it. In the poem, Erik's parents offered to take care of Erik's adoption of Kayson. Something we have been putting off because we can't afford it. Something we've been wanting since they became father and son when Kayson was 6 months old. Even though they are sealed eternally, the legal part completes it.

They worded it much better but it was perfect. The perfect gift. I don't know that I'll ever have a gift I'm that touched by again. We are so blessed to have ALL of our wonderful parents in our lives and all that they have done for us...especially the last year. Our only regret is that we couldn't be with all of our family in the South. Maybe one year!
