"Say Beans!"

That is the phrase I use most often to get Kayson's "normal smile" out!

I've had a love for photography since I was about 19. Not a love for taking the shots...but viewing them. I've always had a love for "pretty things" and my expectations for photography have always been way up there. I would even sit around and edit everyday point and shoot pics for hours...I love editing.

The last few years I've wanted a "real camera" for taking every shots of my children, of our life...and to capture my cakes, parties and hair accessories in the quality they deserve. I've been fighting a battle with my point and shoot for years...trying to get JUST the right lighting, taking pic after pic...still unhappy with the results.

It's meant a lot to me to be able to capture the little moments I love the most about the growing "littles" in my life. I look at others' blog pictures and I've always been so jealous of the beauty they've been able to create with simple images of their children's little hands baking with them or coloring a picture...or planting in the garden. Memories I want to save forever.

I came across a great opportunity to buy my little sister's camera and I jumped on it! I booked a lot of cake jobs for several months and saved all the money I earned from them and FINALLY got my hands on this beauty!!

I've had some fun playing with it but didn't get a chance to really take it out and enjoy it until yesterday. We haven't had really nice professional shots of Kayson since he was 3 so he was very overdue and I really wanted some. Here's the fun I had. I love my new camera...lots of good times to come!
