A couple months ago we decided to go out for family night. We were pretty nervous since we hadn't taken the triplets out to dinner on our own without help...ever. But we don't want to be the kind of family that doesn't do things just because they are hard. We want our family to have fun experiences regardless of our situation. So off to Chili's we went. Loaded with courage and baby snacks.
We did pretty well. We of course get stares and comments EVERYWHERE we go and I could just sense everyone around us thinking we were crazy to bring our kids out to dinner. Sure enough, about 10 minutes before we were ready to leave, Payten knocked over a drink, I had another baby in arm, Erik was trying to pick up toys on the floor...and before I knew it there were 3 servers at our table trying to help us with our spilled drinks, toys and crying babies. The whole restaurant was staring. We were a little mortified. But as we ran out of there, I felt proud. Proud that we made it through the whole dinner together. Sure, it ended in disaster but that's not worth focusing on. It felt so good to watch the kids enjoy doing something different. They had a blast! Here are some pics from our fun night.

Ha! I love it! I'm sure it's a little tricky to even run to the grocery store. I bet that everyone was staring because they were thinking, "wow, that mom is a rockstar!" :)
