Keeping Our Thanks in Thanksgiving

We have oodles to be thankful for this season. We made a list of all the things we're grateful for and have kept them in heart & prayer this month a little more than the usual. It's easy to get offtrack when things can always be better. But we try not to lose sight of all the blessings and love we have in our lives. We had a great Thanksgiving with family and then followed up the weekend with playing outside at the Roy City Christmas Lights with our friends The Larsens. We didn't take a lot of Thanksgiving pics but here are some at the lights.
Certifiably the CHEESIEST Kayson pic of all time...I HAD to post it!

Brynlee's always down for picture time-I love runnin around with this bundle of energy. She keeps me on my feet! Highlight of the night: Hill Rolling Races!
Our men with the tots. Ho Ho Ho!

"Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree..."
We're a family full of traditions...so much so that if we venture off course all havoc erupts! Thanksgiving weekend we rise at 5am, pack up, turn up the Christmas tunes and head to the mountains of Soda Springs Idaho for our Christmas Tree Hunt ("Hunt"..ahaha...ok sorry). We set up a picnic & fire for grub, and then on our way home we stop in Lava Hot Springs to hit the hot pools. Here's a little from this years successful adventure...
I love the mountains
Walking in a Winter Wonderland...

He was such a champ...it wasn't easy hiking in snow all day! That's mommy's little man!
Tender...
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells... Singin all the way...

Puppy, Hubcap, Kort, Laina and meeeeee...

Oh yes...a real tree. Deep breaths. I happen to be a fake tree fanatic. Erik...IS NOT. We'd been debating whether we'd get one this yr for ourselves & I had a master plan to bring to the frontline. But when Erik looked at me in the truck and said "Are we getting a tree this year, should I buy a permit?" something inside me snapped and I smiled and said "if it makes you happy :) ". And that's all she wrote. Now come the needles, and the watering...and the constant judgment from OCD Jess when a branch isn't just right. Phew...but it put a smile on my hubster's face and that's what Christmas is about right? Right

That seriously looks like so much fun! I have to do that sometime soon. I'm glad you had a good holiday. See you Thursday, oh there will be purses there too now!
