The "No Matter What" part...

August was the promise...

September we got comfy

October we took care of each other
November we made plans

December we sealed our traditions

January we made goals

February we worked on love

March we prepared to move on and start a new home

April we struggled....

May, we worked hard & apart too much

June we worked on fun

July we went on a vacay

and now...

We've made it a year!!

Some say the 1st year is the hardest...we laughed in their faces thinking it would be the easiest one. WRONG.

The first year is a rollercoaster with a mix of the best and the worst. But now that we've made it through it, we know that everything we've gone through, we've GROWN through. The magic of the Lord in our relationship has had the power to make our wounds heal, our lonely times made up by time together, our hurtful words disappear, and the confusion lifted by the comfort of knowing WE are home when we see eachother.

I recently heard this lyric in a song "they say it's best to go your separate ways, guess that they don't know ya cuz today that was yesterday. Yesterday is over, it's a different day..."

In all seriousness that simple of a line is what it comes down to for us. Our bad days aren't every day. Every day is different. And breathing deep and slow until the next good day is more than worth it. And remembering the good days prior and that they are coming again is more than enough to hold out for. If it was easy it wouldn't be worth it. We know how blessed we are to have found each other and to be able to anchor our home on the gift that "Families Are Forever".

The 3 of us came together only through our enduring faith in finding what we'd been looking for our whole lives and in knowing our Father believed in that for us as well. We have so much to be excited for and I can't wait to take on the rest!!
