Life As We Know It...So far...

Ever wonder what life is like times 3? Well, although our girls are still in the hospital, I can give you an idea. Keep in mind we don't do this 24/7 YET, and they will only be eating more and more as they get bigger. But here's a day in the life of the Hunt triplets:

Every 4 hours (8 times a day, including the night), we start with Hallie by doing a diaper change, moving their foot monitors and taking their temps. They get weighed at 4 pm every day and they get a bath every other day. After these cares they are fed. Lately I've been trying the "tandem" feeding to save on time because by the time I've started cares and fed them all, it's an hour and a half. And there's only an hour left until we have to start again. Exhausting? Very! We'll definitely be experimenting with some routines!

Right now, I spend a total of 5 hours during the day pumping for the girls...which is SO exhausting. I'm trying not to give up but it's definitely not as enjoyable as I'd hoped. But definitely worth it being able to nurse them a couple times a day!

This is how many bottles we go through a day for now

(this is with them at 1.5 ounces a day)

I also have to put 3 sticker labels on EACH bottle when I'm done and write the date and time on them. Gets pretty tedious but it's all for the cause. If I never see another "baby A, B or C" label for the rest of my life I'll be happy!

This is how many diapers we go through a day. Yowza right? I actually think it's awesome. Changing 30 diapers a day is like eating ice cream. Don't buy it? Ok. :)

This is a pic of the girls' diaper stack in their closet. We'll probably tear through this in a week...maybe two?

And this is our 2 row deep glorious stash of diapers that took us 5 months to stock. A lot right? Wrongo...This might last a couple months...honestly. 2 months.

Pretty fun right? We think so. It may be a crazy life...but it's OUR life. And I'm smiling all the way through it.

...even if I AM elbows deep in doodoo all day.
