One Month Left!!!

How in the jeepers did our baby girls grow so fast??!!! It felt like for the longest time they were infants and now I feel like toddlerhood is just creeping up on us! Stop it!

Well, it's only one month until their infant years are forever in the past, nestled tightly in our hearts and in between the pages of our photo books.

At 11 months of age, I've learned that they are ever-changing. It seems each time I post that someone is "the one that...", sure enough it changes. Saydee use to be "the one that" screamed impatiently through mealtimes, now for months she's been the easiest and most patient one to feed. Happy, clapping and delighted the entire time! It made me realize that they are each individuals. They're each going to have ups and downs as well as grow and learn at different rates. Categorizing them into "the one that..." is a way of comparing them to eachother and I really don't want that. What an eye opener! We love each of them for their differences, their similarities and for the things that make them individuals. They each add something wonderful to our family and are a blessing in our lives in completely different ways!

Payten and Saydee are both little mischief makers right now. They're mobile! We have little rugrats peeking around the kitchen corner and poking their tiny fingers under our bathroom doors. Even Payten attempts to crawl up the stairs. Just this morning I walked in the nursery and for the first time we have a stander in the crib! The proud little smile on Payten's face and the bouncing up and down both gave me a flash-forward to 3 little toddlers talking from crib to crib AND a kind reminder that we need to lower the bedrails before we have a dangerous situation on our hands. That girl can't be trusted...that's one thing I've learned about her. Hooligan.

Hallie can be summed up in one word.

(Adjective: In a state of peaceful happiness)

Truly this little girl is just happy as a clam to be left alone to do as she pleases and when she pleases. At first, we worried about her being so far behind her sisters. She still doesn't roll over at will, and she seems pretty far from crawling-still resisting to get up on all fours. But she's sitting...the strength is there...she just has zero desire. She's perfectly content to watch her sisters exhaust themselves while she hogs all the toys. She's happy...so happy. We know she'll move forward when SHE is interested and ready. In the meantime, we enjoy only having to keep track of 2 babies right now!

The girls all have a couple of teeth poking through...no big "teefy" grins just yet.
Saydee and Payte have become quite the playmates chasing each other around the house. Sometimes I don't even think they have a destination in mind...they just follow eachother and see what happens. OR sometimes they'll keep switching places; pacing in different directions until they meet again. They don't have to be crawling to something, just crawling together is something in itself it seems!

I'm grateful for my perfect nappers and sleepers. I say perfect, because for a mother with 3 babies, I think they're much above what I and others would expect. Two great, long, consistent naps a day and 12 hours at night. We may have our interruptions but once I visit, they go back to sleep. I'm grateful for this gift they've given me. Naptimes and bedtime are the only times I really have to myself and to get things done. I know Kayson is thankful too!

I've started introducing some solid foods to them. They are piglets...what can I say. And Saydee is the biggest piglet of them all. She takes food in fistfuls and nothing else! They snack on bread, puff cereal and whatever else I dare to sneak them.

Payten loves to dance...and has some funny yoga moves too. We can even get her to dance to the sound of cell phone ringtones and sqeaky toys! Here's a video of her famous yoga pose...we love her!

Here's a cute video of the girls just being hams...as usual.
Saydee playing
Payten dancing
...and Hallie spitting (funny!)

Last, a video of their reaction when we opened a new toy they got for Christmas

We love our little ladies SO much. I can't imagine our happy home without their sweet little souls. Here's to hoping this next month goes by slooooooow.

You make it seem so fun to have multiple children. I am sure it is trying at times and gets easier and easier, day by day, but you make it seem like a piece of cake. I at times find myself wanting to cry and I just have one 10 month old and a two year old. Heaven help me. :)

Oh Jess, they are so precious. Watching the videos makes me miss when my twins were so little. It just goes by so fast and it's impossible to remember their cute little behaviors. And you're almost to the one year mark...does that just seem unreal? You've done an amazing job with them. Keep it up! They are so lucky to have you!
