A Birthday...

There's not much to say about turning 31. I love my life. I love my family. I love the gospel. I love the people that surround my life. I love our home. I LOVE being a mother. I love the choices I'm making with my life. I love how much we are blessed. I love it all! What more can a girl ask for?

Erik surprised me on my birthday by taking the family to the zoo! I'd been saying how much we needed to go for a while. It's cute when the hubs picks up on my hints!
I have to say...taking the kids to the zoo this year was much easier than last year when the girls were 3 months old! This was a breeze compared to that!
They loved the animals so much that I can't wait to take them again next year. Hopefully more than once!

I had planned on making a vintage cake I've been wanting to try out but when the time came, the thought of having someone else slave in the kitchen sounded more attractive! So we grabbed half a dozen cupcakes from Vintage Cupcake :)

Last, my handsome man took me out a few days later on a hot date for one of my favorite foods...Sushi!! It's been WAY too long since we've been out for sushi. We've only had it once since the girls were born. It's kind of a delicacy for us!
It was a wonderful birthday...and just like every other year, I usually get to top it off with a wonderful weekend soaking in General Conference. I'm so grateful for my sweet husband who knows how to make a busy and stressed out girl feel special!
