Christmas!!!!
Normally this time of year I'm playing serious catch up or annoying overload on our blog with all the things our family has been up to. December is such a busy and wonderful time! I've finally parted ways with my beloved obsession with Fall. Sniff sniff...until we meet again, my love.
Here are some fun things we've been up to. I like to call them our "chronicles".
Decorating for Christmas in the Hunt house is done the day after Thanksgiving. Not a day before, not a day after. Until this year. The tree, some garland and the outside Christmas lights were done right on schedule. But in a new home, I was unsure where to put everything and quickly learned that what seemed to fill our little townhome doesn't even begin to fill our 3 story home. So I've been doing a little here and a little there. And I'm still not done! I have a few crafts I'm still working on and the stockings haven't been hung.
Our tree
The tree skirt I made (I'm still so shocked I made something this cute)
You can never have too much garland! I'm hooked on the stuff! I'm still working on decorating it but we'll have to add a little more each year. I've learned that Shopko ornaments are the BEST!
I love having a husband that loves to decorate our house with Christmas spirit as much as I do! Although it was SO nerve-racking waiting inside with the kids for him to finish. It's a scary job but it looks amazing Clark Griswold!
A little here...a little there...
Felt trees I made...
Christmas Card holder I made...
Kayson and I attempted to make some snowflakes but it was a lot harder for him to cut that tiny paper than I thought. Still turned out with some winners...even though not enough to hang like we wanted. It's the fun we had that matters!

In years past, we really wanted the Elf on the Shelf to come visit our home. But we always thought the elf in that story was creepy looking and I didn't like the negativity and "threatening tone" involved in the story. So I did some researching to see if we could find another and Christopher Pop-in-Kins was our favorite! He's happy, delightful and fun! And the story is WONDERFUL and full of cheer. And the illustrations are my favorite...so magical. We've had a lot of fun with our sneaky little elf this year.
and more...
I personally love the one where he's covering his eyes in mommy & daddy's room. Kayson liked it when he crashed the helicopter into the tree. We ALL loved when he set up our hot chocolate bar!
Workin the camera
He's done some pretty nice things too. Like deliver presents from our folks in Florida.
He also left Christmas Pajamas one night!
You know something good is coming when your counter looks like this...
You can also see our hot chocolate bar we've kept in the kitchen this December! Kind of a favorite around here! You can't see the marshmallows in the middle but they're getting depleted quickly.
One of my favoritist Christmas pictures ever. Having a blast with my littles making Christmas cookies. Words can't express how happy being their mother makes me. These times are so precious to me! Many more of these nights with mama to come!
Yummy, yummy bad for your bummy success!
