Christmasness

If you've ever read a Christmas Blog Post in our past, you'd know our yearly traditions are pretty much the same. We have a Christmas get together with my side of the family one night and then we have our big Hunt Family Christmas Eve Finger Food feast. We always have mouth watering food and after we're stuffed we sit down as a family and put on a Christmas Program. This year we watched this movie that I found (below), acted out a Live Nativity and then as usual we gathered around the piano to sing Christmas Carols.
Here's the precious video. We watched it a lot this year because the kids loved it.

I love family traditions. Something we truly treasure. It was especially fun to have the girls participating in everything this year and seeing what they're family is all about! They loved joining right in.

At my dads the day before Christmas Eve...
Loved their new toys!!! First gifts of the season...
I'm really glad we got this photo because at the time it was SUPER late and I didn't want to because I was dealing with  a raging headache and cough that ended up turning into pneumonia...

We started out Christmas Eve with a fun breakfast as usual...
 Christmas Eve at the Hunts...
This was my favorite part. I bet you didn't know there were triplet angels at the birth of the Savior...
Christmas Carol Time...
My favorite boys...
Back at home the stockings were hung by the children with care...
 Traditions must be kept...

I love these pictures of our family. Payten has a low tolerance for loud or annoying sounds, apparently the camera timer beep made the list.
One of my absolute favorite shots taken this year. Magical Moments...

Santa Came!

They grow up way too fast...

In all seriousness, we have so much fun together as a family during the holidays, and it took me a couple of weeks to let it go because I miss the magic. But our holidays are about so much more than the fun activities, the decorations, the treats, the music, the food, the movies and the gifts. Our Savior is the center of our focus during the holidays. We are so grateful for the reason for the season and the opportunity we have to celebrate his miraculous birth and purpose. His birthday is so much more than a birthday. It's a celebration of a life He chose to live to only give to us. His life was for us. Every selfless, teaching, loving, sacrificing moment of it. And there's nothing more I love than to be able to share that with our children and talk of His birth and watch movies and read scripture stories all month long to help them develop a love for Christ and testimony of His life. I'm so grateful for the life our Savior gave and the constant comfort and anchor that He is in our home and everyday life. He is our friend, our comforter and our never-ending guide in this sometimes difficult life. Because of Him, all things are possible and we never have a reason to lose faith.
