I feel like the last week we've been in what should be known as the Labor & Delivery Express Lane! We did as the High Risk doc told us and went in to be monitored 2 different nights when I was having more frequent contractions. And after only an hour or so each time, got to go back home.
We KNOW this is a good thing :) but they said they might have to get use to seeing our faces as "regulars" in there because they would rather be safe than sorry in my condition.
At first I was going in if I was consistently having more than 4 contractions an hour. After last night, they decided that after monitoring me for several days WITH the contractions still going on that it wasn't changing my cervix enough to cause a scare..GREAT NEWS! He put me on some meds for the contractions and if I still get them, I am to go back in if I have 6 an hour now. Hallelujah.
It's a bit interesting when the Hunts show up there. I look like a science experiment with 4 monitors and straps on me. The babies don't like the monitors all over my belly so they get pretty active when we show up, kicking the monitors, rolling around...so the nurses have to adjust them several times to find the girls' heartbeats. Little stinkers!
Well that's about it. 2 fun little visits to L&D...and hopefully we can stay away for a month!
